Blockbuster Trade Proposal Sends Paul George To Warriors, Draymond Green, Andrew Wiggins To Clippers

One NBA writer is proposing that the Golden State Warriors and Los Angeles Clippers make a trade featuring Paul George, Draymond Green and Andrew Wiggins.

Eddie Bitar of Fadeaway World proposed the following trade idea between the Warriors and Clippers:

Golden State Warriors Receive: Paul George, Norman Powell, Moussa Diabate

Los Angeles Clippers Receive: Draymond Green, Andrew Wiggins, Gary Payton II, Moses Moody

George is averaging 24.7 points, 5.5 rebounds, 3.6 assists, 2.4 steals and 0.1 blocks for the Clippers this season. He’s shooting 47.3% from the field, 39.0% from beyond the arc and 93.2% from the free-throw line.

George has a player option for next season. He can become an unrestricted NBA free agent after this campaign if he declines his 2024-25 player option.

Green, who has been suspended by the NBA for five games after putting Minnesota Timberwolves center Rudy Gobert in a headlock, is averaging 8.8 points, 5.1 rebounds, 5.7 assists, 0.7 steals and 0.6 blocks on the season for the Warriors. The four-time NBA champion is shooting 48.2% from the field, 45.0% from 3 and 88.9% from the foul line.

Green signed a four-year, $100 million contract with the Warriors this past offseason. He can’t be traded until December 15.

Wiggins, who signed a four-year, $109 million deal with the Warriors in October 2022, is averaging 10.5 points, 4.2 rebounds, 1.0 assists, 0.4 steals and 0.4 blocks this season while shooting 40.1% from the field, 13.5% from beyond the arc and 50.0% from the free-throw line.

The Warriors could start Chris Paul, Stephen Curry, Klay Thompson, George and Kevin Looney, while the Clippers could start James Harden, Russell Westbrook, Wiggins, Kawhi Leonard and Green.
