Sacramento Kings point guard De’Aaron Fox suffered a right ankle sprain against the Los Angeles Lakers on October 29 and hasn’t played since. However, it looks like Fox will play this week.
According to Shams Charania and Sam Amick of The Athletic, Fox could play tonight versus the Cleveland Cavaliers or on Wednesday against the Lakers.
Fox has appeared in three games for the Kings this season. He’s averaging 31.3 points, 4.3 rebounds and 6.0 assists while shooting 48.6% from the field, 37.5% from beyond the arc and 81.0% from the free-throw line.

The Kings are 4-4 on the season. Fox averaged 25.0 points and 6.1 assists last season and made his first All-Star team and first All-NBA team. Sacramento made the playoffs in 2023 for the first time since 2006.
Before this season started, Keegan Murray revealed what Fox is like as a leader during an interview with Mark Medina of Sportskeeda.
“I’ve only been here for a year or so. But compared to last year, I feel like he’s become a lot more outspoken and being more involved with telling us what is on his mind,” Murray said about Fox. “I talk to him in huddles and talk to him on the court. It’s been cool to see his progression.”

Fox has career averages of 20.3 points, 3.7 rebounds and 6.2 assists with the Kings. He is one of the best point guards in the NBA. Sacramento signed Fox to a five-year, $163 million extension in November 2020.
