Los Angeles Lakers star LeBron James and Phoenix Suns star Kevin Durant are friends, so during the Lakers-Suns game, the two future Hall of Famers talked a few times and shared a few laughs.

The Suns’ X account posted a picture of LeBron and Durant smiling together and one fan responded to the post by bashing the two superstars. Durant fired back at the fan and LeBron did as well.

LeBron and Durant both had great games on November 10. For the Lakers, LeBron had 32 points, 11 rebounds and six assists. Meanwhile, Durant put up 38 points, nine rebounds and five assists for the Suns.

The Lakers defeated the Suns by a final score of 122-119. Los Angeles and Phoenix are now both 4-5 on the season.

“I think it’s the first time that we finally got over the hump as far as this road trip,” LeBron said. “… We finally were able to make one of those momentum shots, and once that momentum shot opened, I felt like the floodgates started [early in the fourth] and then guys really started knocking them down. We’ve been playing from behind in a lot of our games and haven’t been able to take the lead in some of the later games that we’ve lost. So that was a good feeling.”

Durant scored 15 points in the third quarter as the Suns nursed a single-digit lead. Cam Reddish hit a 3 at the buzzer to cut the Phoenix advantage to 96-89 heading to the fourth and the Lakers went on a great run in the fourth to take the lead and win the game.

“They kind of controlled the game from there,” Durant said. “The momentum switched in their favor when they started knocking down threes.”
