
The Atlanta Hawks are still interested in trading for Toronto Raptors star Pascal Siakam, a league source told NBA Analysis Network.
The Hawks tried to acquire Siakam this past offseason, but the Raptors were not serious about trading the All-Star.
Atlanta is prepared to part ways with Clint Capela, De’Andre Hunter, AJ Griffin and draft compensation to acquire Siakam.

Siakam is averaging 17.4 points, 6.9 rebounds and 4.8 assists for the Raptors this season while shooting 45.1% from the field, 29.3% from beyond the arc and 70.8% from the free-throw line.
The 29-year-old Siakam becomes an unrestricted free agent next offseason. He’s making $37.9 million this season. The Raptors and Siakam never got close to agreeing to an extension this past offseason.
The Hawks could start Trae Young, Dejounte Murray, Bogdan Bogdanovic, Siakam and Onyeka Okongwu if Atlanta’s front office figured out a way to acquire Siakam from Toronto. Young and Murray are open to playing with Siakam.
A two-time All-Star, Siakam has career averages of 17.0 points, 6.5 rebounds and 3.5 assists. He has made two All-NBA teams and won the 2018-19 Most Improved Player of the Year Award. Siakam also helped the Raptors win the 2019 championship over the Golden State Warriors in six games.
Siakam wanted to sign an extension with the Raptors this past offseason. He was a little disappointed a deal wasn’t reached. However, Siakam hasn’t requested a trade from Toronto.

The Hawks believe a “Big 3” of Young, Murray and Siakam can be effective and lead the franchise on a deep postseason run. After making the Eastern Conference Finals in 2021, Atlanta hasn’t gotten past the first round of the playoffs.
