There is little debate about who the best shooter in the history of the NBA is. Golden State Warriors point guard Stephen Curry has cemented his standing in that regard with long-range displays no one else is capable of putting together.

Curry is the NBA’s all-time leader in 3-pointers made with 3,437 and counting. He surpassed Ray Allen during the 2021-22 season and has been growing the gap between the two on a nightly basis as he has shown no signs of slowing down.

While athleticism may wane over time for a basketball player, a jump shot never leaves. Curry is an elite shooter and he should be able to continue racking up 3-pointers as long as he remains an active player.

NBA NEWS & TRADE RUMORS: Stephen Curry, Golden State Warriors & NBA Updates

Throughout his 15-year NBA career, Curry has had some incredible shooting performances. He has led the league in 3-pointers made and attempted seven times. Through the early portion of the 2023-24 season, he is on pace to do so again.

In eight games, Curry has made 47 of his 99 3-point attempts, both of which are pacing the NBA. That 47.5 percent clip that he is connecting on would be a career-high and the best shooting season ever given the volume at which he attempts 3-pointers.

If he continues at this pace, he is going to rewrite the NBA record book again. Curry currently holds the record for most 3-pointers made in a season with 402. If he can stay healthy, that record is going to be shattered by nearly 80 makes.

NBA NEWS & TRADE RUMORS: Stephen Curry, Golden State Warriors & NBA Updates

Staying healthy has been an issue in recent years for Curry. In the 2015-16 season, when he made 402 3-pointers, he played in 79 games. The following campaign he played in 79 again, but he hasn’t gotten close to that number since.

The most games Curry has played in the following six seasons is 69. He is going to need some better injury luck if he is going to re-break the record he has already set once. Playing in that many games at 35 years old would be quite an impressive feat for the NBA’s all-time greatest shooter.
