Los Angeles Clippers star Paul George is a big fan of Brooklyn Nets guard Cam Thomas.

On the latest episode of his podcast, George praised Thomas for being a special scorer.

Thomas has started this season off very well for the Nets. He’s averaging 28.7 points, 4.0 rebounds and 2.4 assists while shooting 48.3% from the field, 33.3% from beyond the arc and 84.4% from the free-throw line. Thomas is fifth in the NBA in total points and sixth in points per game.

Here are Thomas’ scoring outputs thus far this season: 36, 30, 33, 13, 17, 27, 45. It’s possible the youngster could make the All-Star team.

“Anytime you average 26 points a game to start the season, that’s a good thing,” Thomas told Michael Scotto of HoopsHype. “Last year, I was probably only averaging about 2-5 points at this same time. Then, by the end of last year, I averaged about 10 points, and now it’s 26. Obviously, it’s somewhat of a breakout, but I just want to keep building. It’s still early. As long as I can stay consistent, that’s the main thing, whether it’s 15, 20, or 30 points. I want to play a complete game, be consistent, and help my team out the best way I can.”

George is one of the best players in the NBA, so the fact that he is praising Thomas means Thomas has arrived.

“I want to keep playing and stay in the rotation as I keep growing,” Thomas told Scotto. “I want to be the best version of myself. Everything else will take care of itself. I’m not doing anything that I haven’t been doing. I’m just staying in the moment. I want to keep playing and be a valuable piece to the team because I feel like I can really help the team this year.”
