Kevin Durant admitted to Sirus XM NBA Radio that he knows the Phoenix Suns will get “pounced on” if they don’t win the title this season.
The Suns have a Big 3 of Durant, Devin Booker and Bradley Beal. They also traded Deandre Ayton to the Portland Trail Blazers for Jusuf Nurkic.
The Suns lost to the Denver Nuggets in the 2023 Western Conference Semifinals in six games. Monty Williams was fired as head coach and former Los Angeles Lakers coach Frank Vogel was hired.

Durant averaged 26.0 points, 6.4 rebounds and 3.5 assists in eight games with the Suns last season. Phoenix was undefeated in the regular season with Durant in the lineup.
In the 2023 playoffs, Durant averaged 29.0 points, 8.7 rebounds and 5.5 assists in 11 games versus the Los Angeles Clippers and Nuggets.
Durant is one of the greatest players in NBA history. He has career averages of 27.3 points, 7.1 rebounds and 4.3 assists with the Oklahoma City Thunder, Golden State Warriors, Brooklyn Nets and Suns. The Texas product has won two championships, two Finals MVPs, one regular-season MVP and four scoring titles.

A future Hall of Famer, Durant has made 13 All-Star teams and 10 All-NBA teams. He’s fourth in NBA history in points per game and 13th in points. Durant averaged 29.1 points with the Nets and Suns last season. He requested a trade from Brooklyn and was traded to Phoenix on February 9.
Many NBA pundits believe the Suns can get to the Finals this season with Durant, Booker and Beal leading the way. It will be fascinating to see if Phoenix can live up to expectations.
