One NBA writer is proposing that the Miami Heat acquire Donovan Mitchell from the Cleveland Cavaliers and PJ Tucker from the Philadelphia 76ers in a blockbuster deal. Fran Leiva of Fadeaway World proposed the following trade idea between the Heat, Sixers, Cavaliers and Chicago Bulls:
Miami Heat receive: Donovan Mitchell, PJ Tucker, 2024 first-round pick via 76ers
Philadelphia 76ers receive: Zach LaVine, Tyler Herro, Duncan Robinson, Isaac Okoro, Dalen Terry
Chicago Bulls receive: Tobias Harris, Jaden Springer, Sam Merrill, Filip Petrusev, 2028 first-round pick via 76ers, 2030 first-round pick via 76ers
Cleveland Cavaliers receive: James Harden, Furkan Korkmaz, Danuel House Jr., 2024 first-round pick via Heat, 2026 first-round pick via 76ers, 2030 first-round pick via Heat

Mitchell is one of the best players in the NBA. He averaged 28.3 points, 4.3 rebounds and 4.4 assists last season in 68 games. He has career NBA averages of 24.6 points, 4.2 boards and 4.5 assists with the Utah Jazz and Cavaliers. Mitchell scored 71 points versus the Bulls last season on January 2.
Tucker appeared in 75 games for the Sixers last season. He averaged 3.5 points and 3.9 rebounds while shooting 42.7% from the field, 39.3% from beyond the arc and 82.6% from the free-throw line.
The Heat tried to trade for Mitchell last offseason, but the Cavaliers got the shooting guard instead. Meanwhile, Tucker played for Miami in 2021-22. The Heat need to make a massive trade after failing to acquire Damian Lillard or Jrue Holiday.

The Heat, who lost to the Denver Nuggets in the 2023 NBA Finals in five games, could start Kyle Lowry, Mitchell, Jimmy Butler, Kevin Love and Bam Adebayo if Miami’s front office figured out a way to acquire Mitchell and Tucker.
