One NBA writer is proposing that the Philadelphia 76ers acquire Zach LaVine from the Chicago Bulls and Tyler Herro from the Miami Heat in a blockbuster deal. Fran Leiva of Fadeaway World proposed the following trade idea between the Heat, Sixers, Bulls and Cleveland Cavaliers:
Miami Heat receive: Donovan Mitchell, PJ Tucker, 2024 first-round pick via 76ers
Philadelphia 76ers receive: Zach LaVine, Tyler Herro, Duncan Robinson, Isaac Okoro, Dalen Terry
Chicago Bulls receive: Tobias Harris, Jaden Springer, Sam Merrill, Filip Petrusev, 2028 first-round pick via 76ers, 2030 first-round pick via 76ers
Cleveland Cavaliers receive: James Harden, Furkan Korkmaz, Danuel House Jr., 2024 first-round pick via Heat, 2026 first-round pick via 76ers, 2030 first-round pick via Heat

The Sixers would have a new Big 4 of LaVine, Tyrese Maxey, Joel Embiid and Herro if Philadelphia’s front office figured out a way to acquire LaVine from Chicago and Herro from Miami. Harden has requested a trade from the Sixers and doesn’t plan to report to training camp if he’s still on the team.
LaVine averaged 24.8 points, 4.5 rebounds and 4.2 assists for the Bulls in 2022-23, while Herro averaged 20.1 points, 5.4 rebounds and 4.2 assists for the Heat. Chicago checked the temperature on LaVine’s trade market throughout the offseason, according to NBA insider Jake Fischer of Yahoo Sports, and Herro was shopped by Miami in Damian Lillard trade talks with the Portland Trail Blazers.

The Sixers lost to the Boston Celtics in the 2023 Eastern Conference Semifinals in six games. Harden skipped media day in Philadelphia, so it’s pretty evident he has played his last game for the Sixers.
