NBA NEWS & RUMORS: Magic Johnson, Los Angeles Lakers, Stephen Curry, Golden State Warriors Updates

Curry is a better scorer and shooter than Johnson, but Johnson was a superior passer and defender. Both players are NBA icons and Curry will be in the Hall of Fame one day like Johnson, who was inducted into the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame in 2002.

After Curry told Gilbert Arenas that he’s the greatest point guard of all time, Michael Jordan texted Stephen A. Smith of ESPN that Johnson is still the GOAT at point guard. However, Jordan did admit that Curry is the best shooter ever.

Jordan is universally recognized as the greatest player in NBA history. He averaged 30.1 points, 6.2 rebounds and 5.3 assists during his stellar career with the Chicago Bulls and Washington Wizards. Jordan won 10 scoring titles, three steals titles, three All-Star Game MVPs, six championships, six Finals MVPs and five regular-season MVPs with the Bulls during the ’90s.

A UNC product, Jordan is one of three players to win MVP and Defensive Player of the Year in the same season. Houston Rockets icon Hakeem Olajuwon and Milwaukee Bucks star Giannis Antetokounmpo are the other two.
