One NBA writer is proposing that the Los Angeles Clippers trade for Miami Heat guards Tyler Herro and Duncan Robinson in a blockbuster trade. Zach Buckley of Bleacher Report proposed the following trade idea between the Clippers and Heat:

Trade idea: Miami Heat trade Tyler Herro, Duncan Robinson, 2027 first-round pick, 2029 first-round pick and 2028 first-round pick swap to Los Angeles Clippers for Paul George

Herro appeared in 67 games for the Heat last season. He averaged 20.1 points, 5.4 rebounds and 4.2 assists while shooting 43.9% from the field, 37.8% from beyond the arc and 93.4% from the free-throw line.

Meanwhile, Robinson played in 42 games for the Heat in 2022-23. The sharpshooter averaged 6.4 points, 1.6 rebounds and 1.1 assists while shooting 37.1% overall, 32.8% from 3 and 90.6% from the foul line.

NBA NEWS & TRADE RUMORS: Kyle Lowry, Duncan Robinson, Miami Heat, Los Angeles Clippers Updates

The Heat lost to the Denver Nuggets in the 2023 NBA Finals in five games, while the Clippers fell to the Phoenix Suns in the first round of the 2023 postseason in five games.

Herro has removed “Miami Heat guard” from his Twitter bio because he’s expecting to be involved in the Damian Lillard trade. Lillard has requested a trade from the Portland Blazers and only wants to get traded to the Heat. However, Portland and Miami haven’t made any progress on a deal.

Herro signed a four-year, $120 million rookie contract extension with the Heat in October 2022. The Milwaukee native has career NBA averages of 17.7 points, 4.9 rebounds and 3.5 assists in 242 games with Miami. Herro broke his hand in the first round of the 2023 NBA playoffs versus the Milwaukee Bucks and never came back.

NBA NEWS & TRADE RUMORS: Kyle Lowry, Duncan Robinson, Miami Heat, Los Angeles Clippers Updates

The Clippers could start Russell Westbrook, Herro, Kawhi Leonard, Marcus Morris and Ivica Zubac if Los Angeles’ front office decided to trade George to Miami for Herro and Robinson.
