One NBA writer is proposing that the Los Angeles Lakers acquire Bojan Bogdanovic from the Detroit Pistons in a blockbuster trade. Lee Tran of Fadeaway World proposed the following trade idea between the Lakers and Pistons:
Los Angeles Lakers Receive: Bojan Bogdanovic
Detroit Pistons Receive: D’Angelo Russell, Maxwell Lewis, 2024 Second-Round Pick, 2025 Second-Round Pick
Bogdanovic is one of the top shooters in the NBA. The veteran swingman averaged 21.6 points, 3.8 rebounds and 2.6 assists last season for the Pistons while shooting 48.8% from the field, 41.1% from beyond the arc and 88.4% from the free-throw line.
NBA NEWS & TRADE RUMORS: Bojan Bogdanovic, Detroit Pistons, Los Angeles Lakers Updates
In October 2022, Bogdanovic signed a two-year, $39 million extension with the Pistons. He will have made over $142 million in his NBA career once his current contract ends. Detroit can always start next season with Bogdanovic on the roster and move him before or at the 2024 trade deadline.
There could be a desperate playoff team in need of shooting who will give the Pistons want they want for Bogdanovic, who has career NBA averages of 15.6 points, 3.6 rebounds and 1.7 assists with the Brooklyn Nets, Washington Wizards, Indiana Pacers, Utah Jazz and Pistons.
The going price multiple teams have found from the Pistons for Bogdanovic is one first and multiple seconds, which is too steep for any suitor so far, according to NBA insider Matt Moore of The Action Network.
The Lakers tried to acquire Bogdanovic last offseason when the sharpshooter was on the Jazz, who wound up trading Bogey to the Pistons. Los Angeles needs more shooters around LeBron James and Anthony Davis, so general manager Rob Pelinka would be smart to call the Pistons and see what the franchise wants for Bogdanovic.

The Lakers could start Gabe Vincent, Austin Reaves, Bogdanovic, LeBron and Davis if Los Angeles’ front office figured out a way to acquire Bogdanovic from Detroit.
