One NBA writer is proposing that the Milwaukee Bucks acquire Andrew Wiggins from the Golden State Warriors in a blockbuster trade. Lee Tran of Fadeaway World proposed the following trade idea between the Warriors and Bucks:

Golden State Warriors Receive: Giannis Antetokounmpo

Milwaukee Bucks Receive: Andrew Wiggins, Jonathan Kuminga, Moses Moody, Trayce Jackson-Davis, Gary Payton II, 2027 First-Round Pick (GSW), 2024 First-Round Pick Swap (Favoring MIL)

“This package heading to the Milwaukee Bucks would be based around Andrew Wiggins and Gary Payton II, as well as a number of young players,” Tran wrote in his latest NBA trade column. “The veterans could potentially be traded down the line for more future assets, and the young players could get developmental minutes. If the Bucks go the rebuild route, then they could trade the other veterans on their roster to get picks and young players as well.”

NBA NEWS & TRADE RUMORS: Andrew Wiggins, Golden State Warriors & Milwaukee Bucks Updates

Wiggins helped the Warriors win the 2022 NBA title over the Boston Celtics in six games. He signed a four-year, $109 million contract extension in October 2022. The Kansas product will make $24.3 million next season.

The 2014-15 NBA Rookie of the Year with the Minnesota Timberwolves, Wiggins appeared in 37 games for the Warriors last season. He averaged 17.1 points, 5.0 rebounds and 2.3 assists while shooting 47.3% from the floor, 39.6% from 3 and 61.1% from the free-throw line.

The 28-year-old Wiggins has career NBA averages of 19.1 points, 4.5 rebounds and 2.3 assists with the Timberwolves and Warriors. He would land with the Bucks in this trade idea only if Giannis Antetokounmpo requested a trade from Milwaukee.

NBA NEWS & TRADE RUMORS: Andrew Wiggins, Golden State Warriors & Milwaukee Bucks Updates

The Warriors have internally discussed trading for Antetokounmpo over the past few years, league sources told NBA Analysis Network. However, Golden State’s front office knows the odds of Antetokounmpo requesting a trade are very, very low.
