John Wall has fired back at a report claiming he’s leaving the NBA for Olimpia Milano in Italy. Olimpia Milano, commonly known as Olimpia Milano or as EA7 Emporio Armani Milan after its title sponsor, is an LBA Italian professional basketball team based in Milan, Italy.
Wall held a private workout for NBA teams in Las Vegas during Summer League. The Boston Celtics and Portland Trail Blazers attended Wall’s private workout, according to Kelly Iko of The Athletic.
The 32-year-old Wall appeared in 34 games for the Los Angeles Clippers last season. He averaged 11.4 points, 2.7 rebounds and 5.2 assists while shooting 40.8% from the floor, 30.3% from beyond the arc and 68.1% from the free-throw line.
The Clippers traded Wall to the Houston Rockets at the 2023 February trade deadline. The Rockets waived Wall, who wasn’t signed by a team. The Clippers lost to the Phoenix Suns in the first round of the 2023 playoffs in five games. They replaced Wall with former NBA MVP Russell Westbrook, who re-signed with Los Angeles this summer.
