Former NBA point guard Jeff Teague has Philadelphia 76ers star James Harden over Miami Heat legend Dwyane Wade on his all-time shooting guard list.
Teague, who played 826 NBA games with the Atlanta Hawks, Indiana Pacers, Minnesota Timberwolves, Boston Celtics and Milwaukee Bucks, has been going viral over the past few weeks for comments such as this one on his podcast.
Michael Jordan, Kobe Bryant, Wade and Harden are universally recognized as the four best shooting guards of all time. Most people have Wade over Harden since the Heat icon won three championships and the current Sixers guard has never captured a ring.
Wade finished his career with averages of 22.0 points, 4.7 rebounds and 5.4 assists with the Heat, Chicago Bulls and Cleveland Cavaliers. He made 13 All-Star teams, eight All-NBA teams and three All-Defensive teams and won one scoring title and one Finals MVP Award. Wade is being inducted into the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame later this year.

Meanwhile, Harden has career averages of 24.7 points, 5.6 rebounds and 7.0 assists with the Oklahoma City Thunder, Houston Rockets, Brooklyn Nets and Sixers. He has made 10 All-Star teams and seven All-NBA teams and won three scoring titles, two assists titles and one MVP Award.
Harden may be a better scorer than Wade, but the latter was a superior overall player than the former in his prime. After all, Wade has blocked the most shots by a shooting guard in NBA history. The Chicago native blocked 885 shots during his legendary career.
