It is a fact that nobody likes to lose something – at least, not without gaining something in return. In some cases, that is also true for NBA teams as well.
In spite of that, that is sometimes how life goes. It is not always possible to make a trade. The only thing we can do sometimes is to take a loss and move on.
It is never ideal to lose a player, but it does happen from time to time. Take a look at the Toronto Raptors as an example.
The days of Fred VanVleet are over. As a result, the Raptors did not receive anything in return for him. There is a possibility that they may have to replace the new Houston Rocket in order to remain competitive next season.
