Cleveland Cavaliers Receive: F/C Larry Nance Jr., G/F Garrett Temple, G/F Trey Murphy III 

Apparently, there’s a rumor going around that the Pelicans are looking for a bigger and more mobile big man than Jonas Valanciunas. Again, we are unable to confirm or deny whether that is the case or not. 

There is a good chance that it should be. Valanciunas is an extremely talented offensive big man, but his limited lateral mobility makes him a liability when it comes to defensive situations.

While Allen is a solid player in space, he is an elite player around the rim, as well. That is why the Pelicans are paying a hefty price for this loss. It will not be easy for Murphy III to lose his job.

Furthermore, the Pelicans just extended a similar contract to Herb Jones at the same time. Could that be enough to entice them to part with Murphy III? It is possible.

However, there is a possibility that the Pelicans might decide that they would rather keep intact their platoon of young defensive wings. 

In that event, the Cavaliers would have to look elsewhere.
