Malik Beasley Drawing Interest From 6 NBA Suitors

The Philadelphia 76ers, Phoenix Suns, Toronto Raptors, Dallas Mavericks, Milwaukee Bucks and Golden State Warriors are interested in signing Malik Beasley, according to NBA insider Michael Scotto of HoopsHype.

Beasley is an unrestricted free agent since the Los Angeles Lakers declined his 2023-24 option worth $16.5 million.

“Lakers free agent guard Malik Beasley has drawn interest from the Sixers, Suns, Raptors, Mavericks, Bucks, and Warriors, league sources told HoopsHype,” Scotto wrote. “Beasley led the NBA in three-pointers made off the bench last season and is a career 37.8 percent shooter from beyond the arc.”

Beasley played for the Utah Jazz and Lakers last season. He averaged 12.7 points, 3.5 rebounds and 1.5 assists while shooting 39.5% from the field, 35.7% from beyond the arc and 76.9% from the free-throw line.

The 26-year-old Beasley averaged 11.1 points in 26 regular-season games with the Lakers while shooting 39.2% overall and 35.3% from 3. The Florida State product put up only 3.0 points per game in the 2023 playoffs in 11 appearances before getting removed from the rotation.

The Lakers beat the Memphis Grizzlies in the first round and the Warriors in the second round before getting swept by the Denver Nuggets in the conference finals.

Beasley has career averages of 10.8 points, 2.7 rebounds and 1.3 assists with the Nuggets, Minnesota Timberwolves, Jazz and Lakers. It will be fascinating to see where he is playing next season.
