The Miami Heat obviously have no choice but to make this move. James Harden’s arrival justifies the cost of the deal. Does he have any flaws? Yes, absolutely.

Harden does not have much of an impact on the game if he does not have the ball in his hands. In addition, he is one of the most prominent flight risks in the league.

In spite of this, he is still James Harden. It is worth noting that this is not the only benefit for the Heat here. There has been a suggestion that they might waive Kyle Lowry in the near future.

A solid playoff run was had by Duncan Robinson during the 2022-23 season, but the future of his contract remains uncertain. In order to land James Harden here, the Heat are not going to have to give up much.
