Why The Orlando Magic Do the Deal 

There is an interesting mix of veterans and young players on the Utah Jazz roster. In contrast, the Orlando Magic are mainly made up of young players. 

In addition to that, they are also incredibly talented. It looked like the Magic were going to be a team on the rise next season. Having said that, they still need veterans to guide them along the way. 

There is also a need for them to have more spacing in their backcourt. As a result of that concern, Orlando was able to address it to an extent in the recent NBA Draft.

At the professional level, Jett Howard should be able to be a sharpshooter. Regardless, he’s still a rookie. Howard won’t be ready yet.

As a result, it makes sense to bring in a veteran guard who can both shoot and create shots for himself and others. It is hoped that Clarkson will be able to bring some balance to the Magic.
