Why The Phoenix Suns Do The Deal

There is a possibility that depth is overrated. It is still concerning to look at the roster of this Phoenix Suns team. There is an incredible amount of top-end talent on the team.

It is almost unquestionable that Kevin Durant, Devin Booker, and Bradley Beal are the most talented trio in the NBA at the moment. It’s hard to know who is going to play for the Suns next season after those three and Ayton are gone.

With such a top-heavy roster, it is likely that Covington will have plenty of playing time with the Suns. There was a time not so long ago when he was one of the best 3-and-D wings in the NBA. There is a good chance that Covington will still be able to contribute to the team.

In the meantime, Zubac can be used to replace Ayton. It is more important for the Suns to have rotation players than they are to have the best possible big man they can roster at the moment.
