It’s hard enough to win in the NBA’s regular season. Winning in the playoffs is even more difficult. It’s a different beast. In the playoffs, the best teams in the league have time to gameplan. The competition is on another level. Only the strong survive.
This season, the Sacramento Kings learned that lesson the hard way. This team had tremendous success in the regular season. In fact, the Kings had the best offenses in the entire NBA. In the playoffs, it was a different story. The Kings lost in the first round to the Golden State Warriors.
One offseason target the Kings would benefit from pursuing is Draymond Green, who helped lead the Warriors to defeat Sacramento in the first round of the playoffs. According to ESPN’s Brian Windhorst, they are among the teams already linked to him.
“There are some teams out there with cap space that are intriguing options for him,” Windhorst said. “The Detroit Pistons, which would be home. The Sacramento Kings have cleaned up their books and opened up a bunch of salary cap space.”
