All eyes were on the Portland Trail Blazers last night. They were widely expected to trade the third overall pick for some win-now help for Damian Lillard. 

They didn’t. Instead, the Blazers selected Scoot Henderson. That’s a defensible decision, but now, it’s hard to determine what their path is. Are the Blazers rebuilding or contending? 

Why not both? Portland could try to walk two timelines like the Warriors have in recent years. If so, this deal would suit them. They need Anunoby much more than they need Simons, and Boucher would be a useful rotation player for them as well. 

Meanwhile, the Raptors just selected Gradey Dick. He may be the best shooter in his class.

If they want to fast-track his development, why not move him for another elite shooter in Simons? 

Still, we could see some even bigger names get moved this summer.
