NBA contracts are big. In fact, they’re so big that they offend some people.
Arguably, that’s shortsighted. Sure, the players make a lot. Have you seen what the owners make?
Meanwhile, the players are generating the revenue. With that said, some players are overpaid. We’re talking about players that make more than their production suggests they should.
For example, Gordon Hayward of the Charlotte Hornets is probably overpaid. So is Evan Fournier of the New York Knicks.
We’re not saying that they’re bad players – they simply make more than they ought to.
Could they be swapped for each other in a deal this summer?
