Since making the conference finals in 2021, the Atlanta Hawks have been an up-and-down team. With their sights set on climbing up the ranks in the Eastern Conference, the front office is exploring all avenues to getting better.

On Thursday night, the NBA Draft is set to take place. Over the past few weeks, there have been countless rumors of teams shopping their picks in the first round. Among those teams is the Atlanta Hawks, who are currently slotted to pick at No. 15.

According to ESPN’s Adrain Wojnarowski, the Hawks are exploring packages with that pick and Dejounte Murray, John Collins, and De’Andre Hunter.

“This is probably one of the most active teams in trade talks around the league,” Wojnarowski said. “This is a team, perhaps packaged with one of their players, that 15th pick, can it get them up the draft board on Thursday night? That’s certainly part of the conversation there.”

“There are several players who are available in trades,” Wojnarowski explained. “De’Andre Hunter, John Collins, and even Dejounte Murray.”

The Hawks have actively shopped Collins the past two years but have been unable to find a suitable return. This is partially due to the fact that he still has three years left on his $125 million deal. Collins played in 71 games this season and averaged 13.1 points and 6.5 rebounds.

After just one season with Atlanta, Dejounte Murray is now popping up in trade rumors. They acquired him from the San Antonio Spurs to be a complement to Trae Young, but might not like what they see in the partnership. Another reason why Murray trades might be getting explored is because he’s on an expiring contract. This season, the former All-Star averaged 20.5 points, 5.3 rebounds, and 6.1 assists.

Of all these players, DeAndre Hunter might be the most valuable. He is only 25-years-old, and is under contract for the next four years. As a three-and-D wing, multiple teams are sure to inquire about him. The former No. 4 pick played in 67 games this season and averaged 15.4 PPG while shooting 35% from beyond the arc.

With the Hawks showing a willingness to part with multiple players, they are now a team to watch to make a move or two on draft night.
