There’s a feeling in NBA circles that the Chicago Bulls may run it back next season, according to Matt Moore of the Action Network.

That means All-Stars Zach LaVine, DeMar DeRozan, and Nikola Vucevic would all be back in Chicago. LaVine and DeRozan are under contract with the Bulls, while Vucevic becomes an unrestricted free agent on June 30.

Chicago is widely expected to re-sign Vucevic.

The Bulls have talked to teams about a LaVine trade. However, no team is willing to give Chicago want it wants for the two-time All-Star shooting guard.

K.C. Johnson of NBC Sports Chicago reported that the Bulls would be “focused on getting a good young player, multiple first-round picks and salary filler if they decide to trade LaVine. Another said one first-round pick and an established, high-end player might be sufficiently intriguing.”

Chicago missed the playoffs in 2023 after making it in 2022. The Bulls beat the Toronto Raptors on the road in the 9-10 play-in game behind 39 points from LaVine and 23 from DeRozan. However, Chicago lost to the Miami Heat in South Beach in the 8-9 play-in game, which ended its season.

LaVine signed a five-year, $215.2 million contract with the Bulls in July 2022, DeRozan signed with the Bulls in the summer of 2021 via a sign-and-trade deal with the San Antonio Spurs and the Bulls acquired Vucevic from the Orlando Magic in March 2021.

The Bulls traded Jimmy Butler to the Minnesota Timberwolves in 2017 for LaVine, Kris Dunn, and Lauri Markkanen. LaVine, who is a two-time Slam Dunk Champion, is averaging 24.5 points since the trade.
