Why The Portland Trail Blazers Do The Deal 

Honestly, maybe not. There’s a good argument to be made here. 

Some would suggest that the Blazers should simply select Scoot Henderson. With Anfernee Simons and Shaedon Sharpe on the roster, they’ll be a step ahead in their rebuild. 

Sure. On the other hand, the Blazers already have a franchise point guard. Damian Lillard is one of the best offensive players in the NBA. Meanwhile, he seems to be interested in staying in Portland. 

Why not build around him? With that logic in mind, Brown could be a perfect compliment. He’s an elite shot creator who can impact the game on the defensive end as well. In tandem with Lillard, he could get the Blazers back to contention next season.
