Following a playoff run that saw them back in the NBA Finals, the Miami Heat are sure to be a busy team this summer. Along with keeping key players on the roster, they’ll also be in the hunt for upgrades to put around their trio of Jimmy Butler, Bam Adebayo, and Tyler Herro.

With the start of free agency a few weeks away, some have already begun breaking down possible players for the Heat to target this offseason. Among those mentioned were Shake Milton, Oshae Brissett, and Yuta Watanabe.

Since the Heat has two stars who aren’t threats from beyond the arc, having knockdown three-point shooters is essential for their supporting cast. In that regard, Watanabe could be a great addition at a team-friendly price.

Over the past few years, Watanabe has solidified himself as an efficient marksman from deep. In 58 games for the Brooklyn Nets this season, he shot 44.4% from deep on just under three attempts per game. Standing at 6-foot-9, he could give Miami size and shooting at the wing position.

If Gabe Vincent walks in free agency, Shake Milton could be someone who could come in and fill his role. When given the opportunity to play extended minutes, the former second-round pick has shown nice flashes. Milton appeared in 76 games for the Philadelphia 76ers this season and averaged 9.4 points, 2.5 rebounds, and 3.2 assists.

As for Brissett, he is a young forward who can bring size and energy on the defensive end. One thing that might deter Miami is that he too isn’t much of a three-point shooter. However, at 24-years-old, his game can still grow in the right situation.

With most of their money tied up in their stars, Miami needs players who can outperform their contracts at a good price tag. That being said, any of these players could come in and provide a boost to their supporting cast.
