Some NBA players are safe. You know what you’ll get from them, and you know that you’re going to want it.
Others are risky. We’re talking about inconsistent players. It’s not that they aren’t talented – they are. With that said, they simply can’t be relied on.
Perhaps they’re injury prone. Still, that’s not always the case. Other players around the NBA don’t always play with purpose. As talented as they are, it can be problematic.
For example, take Christian Wood of the Dallas Mavericks. It seemed obvious that Jason Kidd didn’t trust him this year. Now, Wood is set to hit free agency.
It feels highly unlikely that he’ll return to Dallas next season.
