Apparently, the Golden State Warriors want to trade Jonathan Kuminga for a high draft pick in the NBA Draft. Is that realistic?
It’s hard to say. Yes, Kuminga has tremendous upside. Has he flashed enough of it to motivate a team to give up their pick in an effort to land him?
We don’t think so. It isn’t Kuminga’s fault, either. The Warriors simply haven’t put him in a position to succeed. This team has been contending, and they haven’t been able to give the raw Kuminga many developmental reps.
They’ve likely hurt his trade value in the process. Still, if the Warriors want to trade Kuminga, they’ll find a suitor.
They just might have to settle for a win-now veteran from a team starting a rebuild.
Could Alex Caruso of the Chicago Bulls be that guy?
