When the Houston Rockets landed the fourth overall pick in the NBA draft, their fanbase was pretty disappointed. 

Fair enough. Like any team in the lottery, the Rockets had dreams of Victor Wembanyama. The choice between Scoot Henderson and Brandon Miller would have been quite the consolation prize. 

The Rockets won’t have that choice. Still, they shouldn’t complain too much. This team could have dropped to sixth in the lottery.

Meanwhile, the fourth overall pick is still a highly valuable asset. 

The Rockets could use it to select a prospect. On the other hand, if a trade becomes available, they may pounce on it.
