The best teams in the NBA are often the most talented teams. With that said, typically, they also fit well together. Just look at the Denver Nuggets. There’s a clear formula to follow.
The Nuggets have one of the best playmakers in the NBA, Nikola Jokic, and a cast of shooters to complement him. Even Aaron Gordon’s ability to cover for Jokic on defense is vital. There’s a real balance there.
The Miami Heat fit well together as well. Their roster construction has carried them. For a Finals team, this group is a little light on star talent. It’s partly why they’ve had to pull off such an improbable run.
Considering, that is, the absence of Tyler Herro. He’s been missing from this entire playoff run. With that in mind, don’t be surprised if the Heat trade him this summer. There are options to get better by doing so.
Whether the Heat win the finals or not, there is always room to improve. They have shown a need to add another dynamic scoring threat at times. Doing so could make them a more stable threat in the regular season and harder to gameplan against.
Could they move him for Karl-Anthony Towns of the Minnesota Timberwolves?
