The Portland Trail Blazers just landed the third overall pick in the NBA draft. This team has a bright future. 

If they decide to focus on it, that is. Ordinarily, the team with the third pick is focused on the future. This is not an ordinary situation. 

After all, the Blazers have Damian Lillard on their roster. Lillard remains one of the best offensive players in the NBA. The Blazers only got here because Lillard was injured, and they opted to tank. 

With that in mind, the Blazers are rumored to be considering moving that pick. They might.

On the other hand, they could make some short-term improvements that don’t involve the third overall pick.
