The Miami Heat were not supposed to be in the NBA Finals. This is a perfect underdog story.
Frankly, this team wasn’t favored in any playoff series they’ve won this season. Now, they’ll be hoping for one more upset. So far, they’re down 0-1.
If they do lose in the Finals, that’s understandable. The Denver Nuggets roster Nikola Jokic. Plenty of people feel that he’s the best player in the world.
Moreover, the Heat don’t necessarily have a player who can guard him. Bam Adebayo is an outstanding defensive big, but he’s small. He may struggle to guard a big like Jokic more than he would an elite wing.
In time, the Heat could shift Adebayo to the 4.
Could they do so this summer by acquiring Mylles Turner of the Indiana Pacers?
