Why The Los Angeles Lakers Do The Deal

After all, D’Angelo Russell is set to hit free agency. In all likelihood, the Lakers will let him walk. Can they replace Davis with his salary spot? 

The options are scarce. On the other hand, they aren’t non-existent. If they could lure Kristaps Porzingis or even Brook Lopez to Hollywood, Davis suddenly becomes expendable.
