The Brooklyn Nets have an interesting relationship with star NBA players.
Up until recently, they had plenty. Arguably, they had too many. Kevin Durant, James Harden, and Kyrie Irving, for one reason or another, could not co-exist.
Now, they don’t really have any star players. Some will protest that claim. They’ll say Mikal Bridges is a star. Don’t get us wrong – Bridges is a fantastic player.
Still, we’re not sure that he’s gifted enough offensively to carry a team to the playoffs.
With that said, the Nets could be one star away from serious contention. This team is stacked with quality defenders. If they had an offensive focal point, they might be in business.
Could that star be Karl-Anthony Towns of the Minnesota Timberwolves?
