Realistically, the Orlando Magic may not have to move either of those lottery picks to land Jordan Poole. 

In the eyes of some, he’s a distressed asset. Poole is on a long-term, substantial contract. Meanwhile, his play in 2022-23 didn’t necessarily warrant the money he’s set to make. 

So? Poole is young. Meanwhile, there is a reason that one of the best organizations in the NBA gave him that lucrative contract. He’s flashed ample potential at times in the league.

Poole has looked like a potentially elite shot creator who spaces the floor. That happens to be exactly the type of player the Magic need.

If they’re interested in a target that might not cost them either of their picks (and certainly not the sixth pick), Poole could be an option. 

With that said, if they’re willing to spend more, they could nab a player who’s been a bit more consistent.
