Lottery picks are invaluable assets in the NBA. A team is lucky to have one. When a team has two, it’s an embarrassment of riches. 

Having two picks in the lottery range gives a team options. Sure, they could simply select two young prospects. On the other hand, they could trade one, or both, for some veteran help. 

That’s the position the Orlando Magic are currently in. This team has the sixth pick in the upcoming NBA draft, and they also have the 11th pick. 

What will Orlando do? Who knows. They could package those picks to move up in the draft. Alternatively, they could trade one, or both, in a package for a star.

After all, the Magic looked like they were a team on the rise in 2022-23.
