The Boston Celtics and Minnesota Timberwolves are two NBA teams in very different positions this season. On Sunday, the Celtics are playing a Game 7 with a trip to the Eastern Conference Finals on the line. The Timberwolves have long since had their season ended. Is there room for a trade?
When a teammate takes a swing at another one, that’s normally not a good sign in the NBA. It’s not necessarily insurmountable. Tensions flare. Everyone on the team has goals, and when they’re not being realized, it can lead to problems between players.
Still, Timberwolves fans have to be feeling anxious about what they saw recently. Rudy Gobert took a swing at Kyle Anderson on the bench. Overall, it was an ugly scene.
On the other hand, Timberwolves fans have probably been feeling anxious all year. This team has generally fallen short of expectations.
If they make major changes this summer, nobody will be shocked. Teams that have been playing two centers haven’t fared well in the postseason. None of them made it to the Western Conference Finals.
Could one of those changes include sending Rudy Gobert to the Boston Celtics?
