Whatever happens next, it’s been a good 2022-23 NBA season for the Miami Heat.
This was the eighth seed in the Eastern Conference. The Heat had one of the league’s worst offenses throughout the regular season. They are not supposed to be here.
Yet, they are. Perhaps most impressively, they’ve gotten this far without Tyler Herro. Miami’s young star has been injured throughout the playoffs.
Do the Heat need him? It certainly doesn’t appear that they do.
As talented as Herro is, the Heat must be tempted to package him with some draft capital for a win-now upgrade this summer.
