We wouldn’t go that far. The Pacers missed the playoffs. This isn’t exactly a rousing success story. Did they fall short of expectations? 

No. Realistically, the Pacers roughly met expectations in 2022-23. That’s a perfectly acceptable outcome for an organization that’s somewhere between retooling and rebuilding. 

Next year, the bar will be higher. We’re not saying the Pacers have to make this type of big move.
