If Barnes chose the Dallas Mavericks, it wouldn’t be his first tour of duty with the organization. 

To our knowledge, there’s no bad blood between these sides. Meanwhile, the Mavericks are in a much different position than they were the last time that Barnes was on the squad. 

Specifically, they’ve got Luka Doncic on the roster. If all goes well, they’ll have Kyrie Irving back as well. If they’re able to retain the free-agent guard, they’ll look to strengthen the roster around their star backcourt. 

Barnes would be perfect for that role. This is a player with ample experience supporting star guards.
