Why The Sacramento Kings Do The Deal 

Of course, if the Kings are keeping Sabonis, they’ll need players who complement him. 

There’s some merit in that course of action. Perhaps the Kings can consistently ride Sabonis into the playoffs. If he helps them rack up regular-season wins, there’s value in that. 

Adding Brown would only help in that regard. This is a 3-and-D wing that offers elite shot creation. Brown can complement a playmaker, and also function as the focal point of an offense. 

He’s also playoff-proof. If the Kings made this deal, they’d have one of the best trios in the NBA.
