Trade For Jordan Clarkson From Utah Jazz

Utah Jazz Receive: F/C Bobby Portis, G/F MarJon Beauchamp, 2029 First-Round Pick (Top 10 Protected – MIL) 

Milwaukee Bucks Receive: G Jordan Clarkson 

This deal is similar to the last one. The Milwaukee Bucks are flipping Bobby Portis and future-focused assets for a scoring guard. 

The opposing team’s interests are simply different. The Utah Jazz aren’t doing this deal to acquire Portis. They’re doing it to land Beauchamp and a first-round pick. 

That pick is protected for a couple of reasons. Clarkson is aging. He’s unlikely to fetch an unprotected first on the open market. Moreover, the Jazz are getting a promising young player in Beauchamp. 

Meanwhile, the Bucks are getting an extremely talented player.

Aging or not, Clarkson is absolutely equipped to run this team’s second unit. He’d make a fine addition to Milwaukee. 

On the other hand, if they’re looking for a bigger fish, they’ll have to give a bigger fish up.
