Yes. If this deal is available, the Cavaliers should take it and not look back. Some will disagree. They’ll say that Evan Mobley isn’t ready for full-time duties at the five. Fair.
At the same time, he didn’t look ready to play the four in the first round of the playoffs. Cleveland could still find a backup big man. They don’t have to abandon dual big lineups entirely.
Still, a more modernized look would probably help them generate offense in the postseason. Grant would give them that modernized look. This is a fantastic two-way wing.
Grant can score in the half-court and guard multiple positions. If he’s available this summer, he could give the Cavaliers a more conventional – and successful – team.
