The Houston Rockets just landed one of the top coaches on the NBA market. This was not supposed to happen.
After all, the Rockets were one of the worst teams in the NBA last season. They’ve been one of the worst teams in the NBA for years. Ordinarily, this would not be a top coach’s first choice.
These are not ordinary circumstances. We won’t get into the grizzly details. Let’s just say that Ime Udoka was available for…reasons.
Nonetheless, the Rockets got their guy. Now, we should expect them to make roster changes. In particular, it wouldn’t be a surprise if they targeted a quality defensive big this summer.
With the Cleveland Cavaliers having a disappointing first-round series against the New York Knicks with their frontcourt being outplayed, they could make a trade this offseason.
Could they target Jarrett Allen of the Cavs?
