Why The Brooklyn Nets Do The Deal 

There are some aspects of this archetype that the Nets already possess in some respects. Nic Claxton and Richaun Holmes are both rim-running bigs who defend the rim. 

In spite of this, there are some differences between the two. Claxton has a slight frame. This is useful in terms of his ability to switch on defense, but it can mean that he’s more easily moved from his position than Holmes. 

Either way, it doesn’t matter in the end. There is no plan to change Claxton’s starting spot with the Nets. There is a need for them to have a better backup 5. That’s what they’re getting here. 

Meanwhile, Finney-Smith has struggled to adjust to Brooklyn since he arrived there. The quality of his shooting has been dismal.
