Why The Los Angeles Lakers Do The Deal
Of course, it’s one thing for Green to want to play with James. It’s quite another to assume that they’re a good on-court fit.
Some will have questions about that fit. Fair enough. Anthony Davis and Draymond Green do not combine to give James elite frontcourt spacing – and that’s putting it mildly.
At the same time, neither is a non-shooter either. The Lakers would have five-out spacing in this lineup. If they can find a knockdown shooter to round out their starting five (assuming D’Angelo Russell returns), this could work.
On the other hand – dear god, the defense. How do you score on a Davis, Green, and James frontcourt?

The combined playmaking could overwhelm opponents too. This would be an experiment worth running for the Lakers.
