Why The Golden State Warriors Do The Deal 

It feels wrong to replace Kevon Looney. He’s been an integral part of several title runs for the Warriors. 

With that said, those Warriors were a little younger. They may have needed less protection on the interior. Looney is a solid rotation big, but he’s no elite defender. 

By contrast, Allen is one of the best rim protectors in the NBA. His screening will bode well for the Warriors’ system as well. Allen should be a natural fit in this system. 

The Warriors will miss Wiggins. Still, like the Cavaliers, they can attempt to replace him at cost.
