If the Suns put Ayton on the market, teams wouldn’t be trading for him with his draft position in mind. By now, it’s a moot point.
Teams would be concerned with Ayton’s production. By that measure, this seems like a fair return. It also satisfies a need for the Suns.
Rozier is a lead ball-handler who can get to the rim with relative ease. His ability to collapse a defense will open up opportunities for Kevin Durant and Devin Booker.
Meanwhile, Martin is a useful rotation piece as well. For a Suns team that has depleted depth after the Durant trade, this would help them to get deeper on the wing.
